As we get ever so close to the holiday break I just wanted to update parents and students on a few key dates and notes for the next couple of weeks.
1. I have asked our students achieve technician to put my marks live to parents and students as soon as she can. You can access the site through our schools website and I will do my best to keep things updated. Any questions/concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me.
2. Wednesday is the last school day of 2010. Students will be participating in a variety of activities here at the school and at the rink. Students are reminded that they need to bring their skates and helmets to school on Wednesday. No student will be permitted to skate without a helmet.
3. Tomorrow is Christmas Sweater Day! Students are encouraged to dress festively in their favorite holiday threads. Also, 9C, we will also be cleaning out our lockers tomorrow so be sure to bring home anything you will need over the break and to return any overdue books to Mrs. Dodds in the library.
4. Les actualités: Our next current events report for all three of my social studies classes (7C, 8C, 9C) is due on January 7th. That is the first Friday after the break. I would encourage students to get this assignment done this week, rather than leaving it to be forgotten in the holiday rush 🙂
5. Students in 7C are reminded that their art projects are due on Wednesday, December 22nd. Please see me if you need more time to complete this assignment.
6. Students in 8C are reminded that their art projects are due on Tuesday, January 4th. Again, I would encourage students to get these assignments completed sooner rather than later so they can enjoy a much deserved vacation 🙂
7. Grade 9 exams are January 21 and 24th. It’s never to early to start preparing, so if you have any spare time during the holidays it would certainly be beneficial to take a look at the exam material.
Finally, I would like to wish all my students and their parents and guardians a happy, healthy and wonderful holiday season. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know each and every one of you and I look forward to my students’ continued success in the 2011.
Joyeuses fêtes 🙂
