Just a reminder to students in my homeroom that all high school registration forms should now be handed in. Also, forms for the ski trip, this Friday evening, March 4th, are due into me tomorrow, March 1st.

Hi folks!
Just a few updates as we head into a long weekend:
9C:
1. The parent meeting for grade 10 registration is now Tuesday, February 22nd from 6-7 pm. Hopefully all things will go ahead as planned and thus the students should hand in their forms to me no later than Friday, February 25th. Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
2. You have a Science test on Tuesday, February 22nd. Please use this weekend to study 🙂
3. Actualités are due next Friday. I will be taking them in next week so make sure your cahier is up to date.
4. There will be a Social Studies assignment going home early next week.
5. Winter Carnival next week. Lets show our 9C spirt!!!!
7C:
1. You have a Science test on Wednesday, February 23rd. I will be avaliable on Tuesday for any extra help (including after school). Please use the long weekend to look over your notes and we will play our review game on Tuesday in class.
2. Actualités are due next Friday, February, 25th. I will be taking them in this time so make sure your entries are all up to date.
3. Social Studies presentations start on Tuesday, February 22nd. Make sure that you’ve gone over everything with you group members. Those who are at the cadet trip, your groups will present when you return.
8C:
Actualités are due next week. I will be taking them in on Friday, February 25th. Make sure you check your cahiers to ensure that you have enough entries.

My lucky MIS students have another day off school 🙂
Due to the lack of time in classes this week, I have decided to change some of the scheduled test dates: Voici les dates….
9C Science: Moved from Friday, February 18th to Tuesday, February, 22nd
7C Science: Moved from Tuesday, February 22nd to Wednesday, February 23rd.
This gives students the long weekend to study…so I am expecting EXCELLENT results 🙂 We will be also reviewing in class.
Actualités are still due for all three (7, 8, 9) Social Studies classes on Friday, February 18th.
Grade 9s: We will discuss high school registration on Thursday and I will let you know of any changes to the dates (as it stands now, forms are due to me on Friday, February 18th)

We are fast approaching the half-way point of our unit on Heat in Science. Students will have a test on Tuesday, February 22nd. We will be reviewing in class late next week.
In Social Studies, we have started a project called “The great actors of Ancient Greece”. Students will be working on this project in class, but some time may be needed at home. We will hopefully start our presentations on Wednesday of next week.
Actualités are due on Monday (from this week) and on Friday of next week.

We had a great morning at MRHS! What a beautiful school! Our students are so very lucky that is the school they will call home next year! Going home tonight are the registration handbooks from the high school as well as the registration forms. There is a parent meeting on Monday night that I’m sure will answer any questions you have in regards to this process. Feel free to contact me as well if you have any concerns. Student forms are due back to me on February 18th (one week from tomorrow).
We will be having a science test on Friday, February 18th on our reproduction unit to date. Students should start studying as soon as possible and we will be reviewing next week in class. I will also make myself avaliable for extra help if anyone needs it next week.
Actualités are due both Monday( as Friday, the 12th there is no school due to PT Interviews) and Friday of next week.

We will be having a social studies test on Thursday, February 10th. Reviews will go out on Monday, but please take a look at the material since the exam over the weekend.
Actualités are due next Thursday as well. Please be diligent in making sure they get done. Lately I’ve noticed many people scrambling at the last minute.
Also the next few weeks are important for grade 9s as they begin the high school registration process. MRHS will be having a parent information meeting on February, 8th from 6-7 pm. Students will then go to the high school (accompanied by the grade 9 teachers) on Thursday, February 10th at 9AM. Students will be provided with information regarding their courses next year as well as with a tour of the beautiful new school. Any questions please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
Finally, a reminder that parent-teacher interviews are next Thursday evening and Friday all day, thus students will not have classes on Friday, February 11th. Parents can pick up report cards and browse the book fair at this time.
