To kick off our Science periods together this year, students in Grade 8 and 9 participated in a challenge called “What’s in the box?” Working in teams, students created and then executed experiments, as they followed the scientific method to figure out the contents of each of 5 boxes. Scientists are dectives and my students certainly solved the case 🙂 We look forward to many more challenges as the year progresses.
