Week of May 25-29

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It is hard to believe that we have arrived at the final week of May and our last month of home learning.

On Thursday, students will have the chance to pick up their belongings and drop off any library books, text books, instruments or uniforms that they may have at home and no longer need. Term 2 reports will also be provided on Thursday. I cannot wait to see everyone in person, even if for just a few minutes and a distanced bonjour.

If your child is interested in participating in the Duke of Edinburgh program in the fall, please have them visit the Google Classroom site that I spoke about in Friday’s email.

As always, I’m here for anything that you may need. As the sun begins to shine and the days get longer, in any school year, motivation often fades as students look forward to beginning their summer break. This year is no different, and in fact, I can imagine amplified by our separation from the traditional classroom. You are all doing a fantastic job supporting your children. Please continue to reach out with any questions and/or concerns.

Have a marvellous Monday!

This school year certainly hasn’t been what we expected, but I again want to thank you all for your support. I know I may be beginning to sound like a broken record, but your children continue to learn and grow in amazing ways each day, and I know it’s large in part because they have such an incredible team of people behind them; loving them, motivating them, and cheering them on through these past few difficult months.

There is still lots of learning to come. Please continue to reach out with any questions and concerns as we finish out these next few weeks together.

Vous me manquez tous!

Happy Mother’s Day! Bonne fête des mères!

Good afternoon and happy Friday!

I just wanted to take a moment to wish all those special women who help support my students each and every day a very Happy Mother’s Day!

YOU ARE AMAZING!!

While I don’t have any children of my own, each and every one of your children hold a very special place in my heart. I am so thankful for all of you and the incredible job you do every day helping them to become the fabulous young men and women they are.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend! I hope my students take my advice and give you all the praise you deserve on your special day 🙂

What a wonderful day!

Good morning Grade 8 families,

I hope that everyone had a great week. The beautiful sunshine peeking in my window definitely has me looking forward to brighter days ahead this morning! Fingers crossed that it will stick around for the weekend and that everyone can get out and safely enjoy it 🙂

As is the case every Friday, all students are reminded to take a quick moment to touch base with me to let me know about their learning from this week.

I can appreciate that motivating teenagers can be difficult even in the best of times, and once again I want to thank you all for the support you are providing to both me, as their teacher, and to your children as we navigate through our new normal together.

Please continue reaching out with any questions questions and concerns.

Have a wonderful weekend!
